Registrar wins prize for research essay

DAVID Gordon, a specialist registrar at the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital (RNOH) in Stanmore (Middlesex), has been awarded the Robert Jones Gold Medal and British Orthopaedic Association Prize for the most outstanding and original essay related to orthopaedics.

Mr Gordon, who has worked at the trust since October 2009, received the honour for his work 'The Development of Bone Anchored Amputation Prostheses', which he completed at the Centre for Biomedical Engineering, based at the RNOH.
