Joint Action, the research appeal of the British Orthopaedic Association, formally invites applications for grants up to £50,000 in Trauma and Orthopaedic research from members of the orthopaedic surgery community based in the UK.
One member of the research team must be a member of the BOA in active clinical practice.
In addition, we are also making a call for research grants from BOTA members for 'pump-priming' trainee grants up to £5,000.
This call for proposals is intended to provide opportunities for trauma and orthopaedic surgery research development.

Abstract applications open 08th March 2010
Abstract applications close 23rd April 2010
Abstract applications shortlisting 24th April – 16th May
Full submissions from shortlist open 17th May
Full application submissions close 17th June
Successful notification 12th – 17th September 2010
