Joint Action achieves NIHR UKCRN Status

The BOA, through the efforts of its internal fundraising function, Joint Action, has been awarded NIHR Partnership Organisation status. The NIHR is an established part of the Government’s strategy, ‘Best Research for Best Health’ and is commensurate with our own aims. This means that all Trauma and Orthopaedic research grants that are awarded by the Joint Action Board of Management are now able to access the full resources and support of the NIHR.

The NIHR is committed to establishing the UK as an internationally recognised centre of research excellence through supporting outstanding individuals, establishing world-class facilities, conducting leading-edge research focussed on the needs of patients and the public.

This accreditation is just the first step in encouraging all our partners in the research value chain - including industry - to fully support the BOA through its internal fundraising function, Joint Action.

Collectively, we need to raise the funds that are necessary to disperse the grants that will help keep more people mobile longer.
